CORROSION OF CONFORMITY
In 1982, Corrosion of Conformity started out as a hardcore punk band that played fast aggressive music with political messages. They were all heavily influenced by bands like Minor Threat and Black Flag, Bad Brains, Discharge and Black Sabbath. The band has received acclaim for being—along with Suicidal Tendencies, D.R.I. and Cryptic Slaughter—one of the first to merge hardcore and metal where previously in the US, punks and metalheads were notoriously archrivals.
Anti-Social Promotions is taking Philly punk to NYC for Punk Island 2010.

the "west philly waste" team will be playing softball until 11pm, when they turn off all the big bright lights. we plan on hanging a sheet, bringing a projector and a sound system.
it's about 40 mins. the movie documents bucket flush in thier day-to-day life; it also follows the band as they tour from philly to new orleans, playing shows, and getting into trouble.

Cobra Lung are a legendary hardcore punk/metal/thrash band from New Jersey (609 Crew). They were suprisingly there for every single genre change. They’ve toured with bands such as Discharge, Black Flag, Minor Threat, CRASS, and Catch 22. Cobra Lung were highly influential in every area of Punk. Some have claimed that they were the original creators of D-beat, but Cobra Lung’s drummer, DESTRUCTOR, claims “I wasn’t doing D-beat, no one was doing that shit. What I was doing was C-beat.” C-beat didn’t go over well with fans who thought that the beat was too godly and heavy to play.
